From mid-January to mid-March, 2025, I stepped away from the app after the passing of my younger brother. Unfortunately, this meant that customer service and responsiveness, as well as feature development, suffered during this period. For this, I'm truly sorry, and will be donating most of the profit over this period to charity.
You can read more about what happened, the contribution I'll be making in his name, and what I'll be doing to make sure this doesn't happen again here:
An apology, a tribute, and we're hiring
Otherwise, see the list below for an answer to your question. If you get it figured out, then you don't need to respond or do anything else. If you still have questions, though, please let me know. I watn to make sure everybody's issues or feedback gets addressed.

TABLE OF CONTENTS
Refresh trouble (non-PSA/Peidmont)
Give the following steps a try on your device:
2) Delete any autofill (just to be sure) and manually enter your username and password and log in.
3) Navigate to Schedules > Current Month.
4) If you can see your schedule, then log out of the Flica website.
5) Go back to the FC View app and go to the app's menu > Settings.
6) Expand Flica Account and tap on your Flica username (or use the Crewmember Import Setup option if the Flica Account section isn't there).
7) Re-enter your Flica login.
It's important that all of those steps are done on your phone. It will serve as a reset for the app and it will also rule out other issues with your phone's connection, too (connecting to wifi, vpn, firewalls, etc).
You can find more info here:
Refreshing, logging in, & password trouble
If you still have trouble, please let me know what you saw during those steps (error messages, no schedule in the Flica website, etc, screenshots help a lot) . I want to make sure the app gets back up and running for you.
PSA/Peidmont - refresh trouble, missing info, and free access
Refresh Trouble: Please see all of the info at the link below. Some new information has recently been added. If you don't see the "FC View" text button option on iOS devices, you may need to install Chrome and use that as your default browser. Otherwise, there is a ton more information here:
Flica ICS Schedule Import (Info & Troubleshooting)
Missing Info: I still haven't had a chance to get some work done towards adding the missing info.
Free Access: As mentioned at the time of the change, the app is still free for everybody over there at PSA/Peidmont until I can get some more work done. Just make sure to cancel your subscription and the app will continue to work.
Login trouble and other error messages
In some cases, especially after transferring devices, you might get strange errors. Just go into the app's menu > Settings > expand the Flight Crew View Account section and tap on the red Logout option. Then log back in. That should get it working for you.
You can find more info here:

History - full download
A new feature has been added into the app where you can download your full history of flights in the app. It will be added to the "Export to File" page in the next update. However, for now you can find it on the Help/Contact Dev page in the app. It will be one of the first few FAQs called "History request link".
Tapping on that link will generate an email to your account email with a spreadsheet of your flights.
Other airlines - future expansion
The app currently only works for airlines that use the Flica website to manage their schedules.
However, with that said, I've already started working toward expanding to other airlines (starting with Delta, which I hope to have a public beta release in the next couple weeks). Otherwise, once the dust settles there, I have the following airlines on my todo list and have already spoken to crews to make sure there is a good path going forward: United, American, Alaska, Southwest, UPS, & Breeze.
The following airlines are also on my list, and I will be reaching out to crews when I'm ready to start exploring options: Skywest, Porter, Envoy, GoJet, Global Crossing, and Flair.
In the very near future, Republic and JetBlue are switching systems and I'm hoping to be able to continue supporting them. However, it will be dependent on there being available a way for you to export your schedule, either via some kind of file export, or a device calendar sync option that many airlines have set up to sync your schedules with your device calendar.
In the meantime, if you have any other questions, or if there is anything else I can do for you, please let me know.
Red trips/unable to tap on a trip
You should be getting a message when you refresh that explains why those trips are missing. Basically, there is a setting on the Flica website that needs to be switched.
If you log in to the www.flica.net website and navigate to Schedules > Current Month, you will see that the trips are missing there, too. At the top of that page, you will see a button that says "Show All Instances". Tap on it so that it says "Show First Instance" (it's labeled backwards, so it's a bit confusing). Just make sure that all instances of the trip are showing, and not just the first instance.
Once you make that switch, log out of the website and then refresh the schedule in the app. That should get it working for you.
If it doesn't, or if there is anything else I can do, please let me know.
Commuter feature missing airports
The last update had an error in it that omitted a number of airports from the new commuter feature. That will be fixed in the next update, hopefully available in the next couple weeks.
I have these airports on my list to double check before release: KSHR, MIA, MTY, QET, MLM, BJX, SLP, CYDF, CYQX, KCPR, KMHK, PTY, YXC, ASE, KRDM, KMKE, KMGW, YQM, KRDM, MHT, MGM, MGA, SAL, CYYB, YLW, MHK, COU, AGS, TUS, and SGU.
Price Change - more info, and error on the subscription page
More info
Thanks for your past support for the app. Basically, the price increase boils down to going from one employee (me), to bringing on 2 or 3 others to help me manage the app. I know smaller changes over several years would have been more palatable for a lot of people, but I just didn't want to raise the price until I absolutely needed to.
Unfortunately, I can't keep running this app by myself, and the bills for the app keep getting more expensive. It currently supports over 40,000 pilots and flight attendants and their families and I'm doing all of the design, coding, and support emails by myself, in addition to flying a full line each month. That's the only way that I've managed to be able to keep it under a dollar per month (USD) for over a decade now. However, I just can't do it any more. I need to have the breathing room to hire a couple developers and an IT person to do at least some of the work that I've been doing by myself over the last 10 years.
I put out a letter in the app at the end of July. It should be in your Crew Chat and should have popped up every few days throughout August after a schedule refresh. You can read more about the decision here, along with a roadmap for the future and a little more about me:
Sorry about the change. I know nobody likes to pay more. I've been working hard over the last couple years to justify this increase, with new features like:
- Crew Assistant, that monitors your schedule and provides live flight info and notifications for significant changes,
- Delay Watch, which monitors your schedule and provides timely notifications of Ground Stops and significant delay programs that affect you,
- the commuter feature,
- Airport shops & restaurants,
- International Emergency Contact info,
- last year's new Year in Review, and more.
In addition to the constant upkeep and backend work to keep the app running smoothly (and keeping up with the constant stream of email support), I've also been working on expanding current features, like matching up when you cross paths with friends on airport sits and layovers, and the new FC View Pilot Logbook API that was just released in July, which has already allowed MyFlightBook, SafeLog, and ZuluLog to connect directly to your schedule (if you set it up and grant permission), and I'm still working to expand on the commuter feature to make it more useful for commuters and non-commuters, too.
If you have any other questions, or if there is anything else that you might like to see in the app going forward, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm always looking for ways to improve!
Incorrect prices still displayed on the Subscription Page
I'm so sorry for the confusion there. There was a caching issue in older apps that I thought I got fixed (it displayed the old price until you reloaded the page), but it looks like you have the updated version, so it looks like I need to revisit that.
If you close that page and go back to it with data (it's in the apps menu > Subscription > Subscription Info), then it should update and show the current price.
I'm so sorry for the confusion there, but thank you so much for bringing that to my attention. I've been extremely transparent about the price increase to everybody in the app, so I'm not trying to pull anything. I know it looks bad, though.
In the meantime, if you are a new subscriber, then you are still eligible for the intro price. That is fairly close to the same price as that old one for the first 6 months.
Sorry again about the trouble. If you have any other questions, or if there is anything else I can do for you, please let me know.
Friends - missing flight info & other feature requests
Missing Flight/Gate/Inbound Info
This on-demand page flight info page on friends schedules has been deprecated. I will be replacing it with realtime info in the future, but do not right now have a timeline for that.
Other feature requests
I still plan to expand on the friends feature. Specifically, I would like to give you the option of being able to match up friends on days off, including days off at your home airport (or theirs when you pass through them). This will be an optional feature.
Friends & Family - how to add
To add a friend or family member to the app, they just need to create an account under their own email address (don't worry, it's free for Friends/Family). If they are already logged in under your email, then they just need to go into the app's menu > Settings > Flight Crew View Account and tap on the red Logout option.
Alternatively, if they have already set themselves up as a crewmember, then they just need to go into the Flica Account section in the app's menu > Settings and delete the Flica Account (or remove themselves as a crewmember).
Once their account is set up as a Friend/Family, it will guide them to the Friend page, where they can search for you by name or employee number, and send a "friend request".
Once you approve the request (you may need to refresh your app to get it), they will be able to view your schedule on their phone.
If you have any trouble with it, or if there is anything else I can do for you, please let me know!
Name change - how to update my name
The app gets your name from two different spots. In the Crew List, that is your name is it is downloaded from Flica. This is to avoid confusion when you are flying with "Captain Awesome" or some other nickname. To change your name in Flica, you'll have to get a hold of your airline (the app is just a 3rd party app, so I'm not associated with Flica nor the airline).
Otherwise, for other spots in the app (friends page, crew chat, etc), the app uses the name that you've set up in the app. You can change that in the app's menu > Settings by tapping on your name towards the top. It might take a full-schedule refresh for the change to take effect, but it should start showing up in those other spots after a while.
If you have any questions, or have any other trouble getting it changed, please let me know!
Hotel info - how to edit, and missing hotels
How to edit or update hotel info
All of the amenities info (van info/microwave/discounts/restaurants/etc) is part of the crew-editable portion of the hotel information page. Next to "Amenities," if you tap on "EDIT," you can add or change that information yourself if you have time. This helps out other crew members and helps keep that info current!
Thanks for helping to keep that information current! Let me know if you have any trouble with editing the hotel information, or if there is anything else I can do for you.
Missing hotels
Hotels might be missing for a number of reasons, but usuall it is due to being listed as "TBD" on your schedule in Flica, or has no hotel phone number. The Flight Crew View app is just a 3rd party app, so it just downloads that hotel info and adds all the extra info based on what is on your schedule.
Try doing a full-schedule refresh from the Calendar page again. If the hotels are still TBD or missing a phone number, you'll need to get a hold of your airline to find out where you are staying. Once it gets updated in Flica, then it will show up in the app.
In the meantime, if you know where you are staying at, then you can use the "Hotel Lookup" feature in the app's menu. Just enter the city you are staying at (eg - "ORD") and select the hotel.
If you have any other questions, or if there is anything else I can do for you, please let me know!
Other feature requests
I received a number of other feature requests. Even if I didn't address it specifically here, I've added it to my list. I'm currently extremely busy, both with getting caught up, and finishing up other projects in the app that I had started late last year. Once all of that is done, I look forward to getting back to my todo list (there are a lot of them there that I want to see on my own schedule, too).
