Update the app
Make sure you have the most recent version of the app:
Apple: Go to the Flight Crew View listing in the Apple App Store.
How to refresh
The app uses a pull-to-refresh motion to refresh. Basically, just scroll to the top and then scroll up a little more (swipe down from the top). This will start the refresh process. There are two types of refreshes on your schedule:
Refresh on the Calendar page (full schedule refresh)
For a full download/update of your schedule, just go out to the Calendar Page and refresh.
Refresh on the Daily page (live flight info refresh)
Refreshing on the daily page only updates the extra info (gate, status, etc).
Backup refresh
If you have the latest update, and the refresh still isn't working, you can try the Backup Refresh option in the app's menu > Settings > Flica Account section > Backup Refresh.
This is just a temporary workaround, though. If you find that you keep having to use this Backup Refresh, please check out the other troubleshooting steps below. If none of those help, please send an email via the Contact Dev option in the app's menu, or at [email protected] .
One of my trips is in red and I can't tap on it
This is caused by a setting in Flica where it will only show the first instance of a trip when it occurs multiple times on your schedule. Follow these steps to show the trip:
- Log into the www.flica.net website
- Navigate to Schedules > [current month].
- You'll notice that the trip is listed in the calendar at the top-left, but the trip details are missing on that page.
- At the top of the page, there is a button that says "Show All Instances". Tap on it so that it says "Show First Instance".
- Double check that the trip is now showing.
- Log out of Flica.
- Go back to the app and do a full-schedule refresh from the calendar page.
Next Month isn't showing up yet
The app gets the information from the "Schedules" section, not the "Awards" section. It can sometimes take an extra few days before the schedule is loaded into the "Schedules" section.
Once it's loaded into the "Schedules" section, then it will show up in the app.
It keeps asking for a Flica password
- Tap on the app's menu > Settings.
- Expand the Flica Account section and tap to re-enter your Flica credentials. If you don't see a Flica Account section, then use the Crewmember Import Setup section.
- Enter your Flica credentials.
Force-Close the app and Restart your phone
Force close (swipe away) the app and then restart your phone (or better yet, power it completely off, wait a few minutes, then start it back up).
Try switching data sources
Try refreshing on both wifi and cellular data.
Flica login or refresh issues
There are many other reasons why the app may not be refreshing or allowing you to add your Flica credentials. Follow these instructions to rule out some of the more common issues:
Both Apple & Android
Note: These instructions might remove the schedule from your app. If these instructions don't fix it, then you may need to use the www.flica.net website to view your schedule until we can figure out what's going on.
Follow all of these instructions on your device:
- Go to the app's menu and select Settings.
- Scroll down to the Flica Username section and tap Remove Flica Login.
- Confirm the popup by tapping on Remove.
- Go to your device's browser and navigate to www.flica.net
- Delete any autofill and manually enter your username and password and log in.
- Navigate to Schedules > [Current Month].
- If you can see your schedule, then log out of the Flica website.
- Go back to the Flight Crew View app.
- If you are already logged in to the app:
- Tap on the Menu > Settings.
- Expand the Flica Account section and tap to re-enter your Flica credentials. If you don't see a Flica Account section, use the Crewmember Import Setup section.
- Log in with your Flica login.
- If you are not logged in to the app, then just try logging into the app again.
